In a revealing ITV1 documentary, Prince Harry has vowed to carry on the legacy of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, and make her proud. He gave his first ever on-camera interview to Tom Bradby of ITV News as part of a moving documentary made during his stay in the country of Lesotho as part of his gap year.
It is meant to symbolise Princess Diana's "quality of openness" as well as providing a place of fun for children and reflection for adults. But the Diana memorial fountain has been beset by a series of embarrassing hitches which has seen it closed almost as often as it has been open. Yesterday it emerged that the fountain will be closed yet again next month or at the start of November following concerns that a child could get trapped under the bridges which span the water flume.
French court to rule in retrial of Diana photographers
A French appeals court was to rule whether three photographers who were part of the press pack that chased Princess Diana on the night of her death in Paris in 1997 took pictures that broke privacy laws. The photographers -- Fabrice Chassery, Jacques Langevin and Christian Martinez -- were acquitted in November 2003, but state prosecutors and Mohamed Al-Fayed, the millionaire Egyptian father of Diana's companion Dodi, appealed.
Three photographers who took pictures of Princess Diana and her friend Dodi al Fayed on the night of their fatal 1997 car crash did not break French privacy laws, an appeals court has ruled. Tuesday's decision confirmed the acquittal last year of Christian Martinez, Fabrice Chassery and Jacques Langevin, who photographed Diana and Dodi on August 31, 1997, the night their car was chased through Paris by paparazzi on motorbikes.

Prayers offered for Princess Diana on death anniversary
Prayers were offered for Diana, Princess of Wales, outside her London home today, the seventh anniversary of her death in a Paris car crash. Some 100 admirers gathered for the short open-air ceremony led by the Rev. Frank Gelli outside Kensington Palace in west London. Many left flowers or pinned tributes to the iron railings around the residence.
A memorial fountain honoring the late Princess Diana is once again open to the public.The memorial, an oval granite ring in London's Hyde Park, was closed shortly after its unveiling in July when falling leaves clogged the system and a few visitors hurt themselves slipping in the water.
